Healthy Honey Salad Dressing Ideas

Just because you’re eating salad doesn’t mean it is necessarily healthy. We tend to automatically assume that if we are eating a salad then it has to be good for us. This article and news clip featured on NBCNews.com gives shocking insight into the nutritional value of many of the salads you eat at various restaurants. The editor of Men’s Health, David Zinczenko, states that not only are restaurant salads at times unhealthy, some are even worse for you than a Whopper! For example, Zinczenko explains that Applebees Oriental Chicken Salad is a whopping (pun not intended) 1,310 calories and 95 grams of fat, which is almost equivalent to a McDonald’s Double Quarter Pounder with cheese, a medium fries, and a medium soda (1,330 calories). The crisp September weather leads to new beginnings. Summer ends and school starts. Smells of apples and cinnamon permeate the air, getting us ready for the holidays and cooler weather. It’s also a great time to put on a fresh face for upcoming events at work, school, or with family and friends. An excellent way to do this is by exfoliating with a cinnamon and Manuka honey mask. Not only does this smell delicious, but the spice content of the cinnamon, increases healthy circulation under your skin, causing a brightening and polishing effect. The plus side to this particular mask is that the Manuka Honey 16+ helps to clear your skin all at the same time.  Manuka honey has the ability to absorb impurities from the pores in the skin, making it an ideal cleansing agent.  Use this mask 3 times a week to maintain a clear smooth complexion.

Another way to keep your skin looking young and healthy is by using our newest product, the “Queen of the Hive,” Manuka honey and bee venom face contouring mask.  Dr. Oz spoke about the benefits of bee venom products on his show and referred to them as “natural Botox.” Wedderspoon’s mask does not contain any harmful chemicals and is made with all-natural, certified organic ingredients including: bee venom, rare New Zealand organic Manuka honey, and natural botanical oils. The benefits of our new face cream are numerous and fast-acting.

Dr. Oz explains how this process works on his website. In the article, he talks about the many perks of bee venom. He explains that, “When a bee stings, they expel venom, your skin reacts to the venom as an irritation. Accordingly, your skin increases circulation and stimulates production of collagen and elastin, which plumps and firms fine lines and wrinkles. As a result, bee venom facials are increasing in popularity and have been shown to lessen wrinkles in four weeks.”  One aspect of the mask that sets it aside from others is that the Manuka honey and other natural ingredients in our product combine to help soothe any inflammation that may occur and will also moisturize your skin all at the same time! Manuka honey’s ability to absorb and retain moisture makes it an ideal natural ingredient as it helps keep skin hydrated and fresh. In fact, history shows that ancient beauties regularly applied a mixture of honey and milk to the face to keep their skin looking young, radiant and smooth.
So, regardless of what skin care method you choose to use this September to prepare for the busy, upcoming holiday season, it’s always important to take some time to sit back, relax, and care for yourself.
